Cant have more than 10 words

Thiudwee v1.1 · 14 years ago

I was able to quickly create a 10-word custom-made puzzle for the student I tutor in reading. After she solves it, shell enjoy making her own. The puzzles are small, but are perfect for reinforcing reading skills. This free app suits my needs.

Word Limit

It is written that you can create crosswords and word searches with up to 10 words but you can only create with up to 5.

Thanks so much for this. This will make a bunch of boy scouts happy durring the their next night ops competition. Very easy to use and many more options than Id expect for free.

I used this app to create kangaroo crossword puzzles for my first grade class and the children hooted and hollered in delight. Kudos to this developer! I am very pleased!!

Ive been using this app for my 10th grade science students. Its difficult to find premade crossword puzzles online that have all of the vocabulary words that I need and without the words that I dont. Im perfectly content with the lite version of this app. My only request for this app would be the option of adding a word bank. This app is very easy to use and I suspect that Ill continue using it for a very long time.

i don’t know if the full version is any better but with a demo version this bad I certainly am not going to pay to find out. Counterintuitive and poorly designed UI, a lack of standard options, and a totally backwards design process make deleting this app an easy choice.

This app is easy to use. To make a crossword, you enter your words and clues in the table on the left and click “Build Puzzle”. You are then given a choice of a crossword grid to use. You can then upload your puzzle to play online and share the link. I use this app to have my students play an educational crosswords when they finish an exam. Keeps them occupied while the other students finish.

Full disclosure: I only spent about 30 minutes with this app before realizing that it’s not for me. I found the interface to be unintuitive and frustrating. If you’re willing to suffer through the initial learning curve, I’m sure you can make some decent puzzles.
